Our Story

We started Crunchy from a desire to try a new way of farming and producing food without using pesticides or sprays.

That’s why we harnessed the concept of indoor vertical farming.

Since we started, our product offering has changed from a handful of Microgreen to a diverse range of Microgreen, Sprouts, Microgreen blend Salts and seasonings. We do not use any spray and pesticides for growing Microgreens and Sprouts at CRUNCHY.

Our fresh products are available throughout the South Island in New Zealand at New World, PAK’nSAVE, SuperValue, Fresh Choice and FourSquare.

Our Flavoured salts and seasonings are available all around New Zealand stores.

In 2021 Crunchy was finalist for four different categories in Southland Business Excellence Award Including Naked Creative Innovation award, Supreme Business award and won two categories, Power Net New and Emerging categories, Meridian Energy One to watch category.

We have taken this journey to innovate new ways to grow and produce food that is wholesome and adds real value.
